Weekly Challenge - May 22 to May 28

I was completely inspired by this craft I found on a google search this morning.  I do not know how well received my challenge will be, but Im hoping for some takers ;) .  My challenge is to come up with something crafty they can use while camping or traveling.  If you are scrapbooker, you can scrapbook about camping or traveling... Anything goes.  Here is the picture of what inspired me, a spice organizer:

Have Fun!

Pat just came home from a trip and found our challenge to be perfect.  She put single servings of things in contact containers.  Medicines, lotions, etc.  Love this idea!

Melanie's "Matches"
One should have matches when going camping, right?
Here is a matchbook-style mini scrapbook.

Melanie's bracelet - made from beads given to her by her "Secret Sister"

Jeri's end of the year gifts for her girls teachers.

Judi's handmade sign
Jeri:  I purchased a do-it-yourself cake pedestal.  I highly DO NOT recommend this crazy contraption.  It was hard to put together, and it was SUPER hard to decorate it.  I thought the results turned out cute, but not as cute as it did in my head:

Its hard to tell, but the base part is a sparkly white paper.  My grandparents are having a King/Queen theme for their birthday party tomorrow, so that is why I added the JeMs.

Re-Discover An Old Technique

Remember things like:  paper tearing, mosaics, heat-embossing, and punches?

Surely you still have supplies floating around somewhere
that you haven't used in a zillion years!

Take a look at your stash.

Have a great week!!

Pat's Challenge.  This is what she said: "I used my scraps, which have piled up for many years.  My technique was to find the colors and incorporate them into the layout.  I tore the paper, and added embellishments.

Lielanie's Card
I made this for my Grandma’s 97th birthday card, and bought her a giant hanging basket full of the same fuchsias.  The fuchsia is heat embossed (clear powder over black ink), the leaves and flowers are painted in with a water pen and Stampin’ Up Water Color Crayons.  Some leaves were ‘punched out’ using an x-acto knife for a more realistic look, and the large flowers are double layered by stamping the image a second time and cutting out the flower portion then affixing it to the original image using foam tape.  The ribbon is a scrap that I found and used Stampin’ Up inks to make it the pink color.  The oval is a ribbon slide from Arts and Scraps.
